Municipal and state governments are struggling with low recycling rates and high costs for waste management. Multifamily apartments and urban high-rises comprise a large subset of the U.S. population – and this group has even lower recycling participation numbers. Apartments throughout the country are not actively involved in recycling due to limitations in space and lack of being given curbside bins. Solution Statement: I am proposing the innovative Recycle N Roll recycling bin with a retractable handle and wheels to facilitate ease of recycling for apartment dwellers. The consumer can easily pull up on the handle, tilt the bin inward, and pull the bin anywhere. No more lifting the bins to haul them down long hallways to get them outside. These recycle bins can be PULLED with great ease. The product idea will be marketed to municipalities and states that are mandating apartment recycling programs for multifamily properties.
